No, I am not just making up words — paraskavedekatriaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th.
I have not wished Psychosomatic Rants readers happy friday the 13th since June of 2008! So once again – HAPPY FRIDAY the 13th!!
I hope everyone is going out tonight to see the new Friday the 13th movie – I am going with Mylie T, of course – then we are driving to the mountains to go camping for the weekend… what a wonderful movie to see before going into the woods!! She thinks we are going because of Valentines Day but it is really to celebrate Friday the 13th. 🙂
If you haven’t seen the trailer for the new Friday the 13th movie – check it out here…
I expect it to be really good — I will keep you posted on it after I see it. If you don’t want to go out on this wonderful night make sure you buy the
Friday The 13Th – Part III [Blu-ray] 3D and watch it at home. I personally think it has the best 3D effects for any 3D movie that came out in the 80’s. (and you can’t go wrong for $10!)
It is also a special time because the day following Friday the 13th is Saturday The 14th!!! — for those who don’t know of this importance – let me bring you up to speed…
This is one of the movies I grew up with and think about it every Saturday The 14th. If you have not seen it, you must check it out you will, I mean, you won’t be disappointed.
But, I know this Saturday the 14th is special for other people because it is Valentine’s Day! It really is a special day, especially, since it follows one of the best days in our calendar and you now have the option to see two awesome films, Friday the 13th, as mentioned above, and My Bloody Valentine 3D. How perfect can this weekend be? You take your lover to a scary movie on Friday the 13th then the next night for your romantic Valentine’s Day movie you take her to see a 3D Valentine movie. If your partner says, “My Bloody Valentine? That sounds like another horror flick.” Just reply, “No, I think it is a British film”, leaving them to think you are going to see a foreign flick.
It is extra special for me and Mylie because the original My Bloody Valentine film was one of my favorite films when I was a child.
If you have not seen it, the original, you are in luck because it was just released on DVD… get it here: My Bloody Valentine (Special Edition)
So no matter what you are planning to do for Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th, or Valentine’s Day – I hope you have an awesome time!
Here is a movie for you to watch – another perfect Friday the 13th midnight movie!
NIGHT TRAIN OF TERROR (staring Bull from Night Court)
This is a rare film that is amazing – you will see how amazing after watching the preview below – you will enjoy it – I promise!!
God and Satan are on a train discussing the fate of three individuals. The stories of the people in question are told in a trio of very strange vignettes. One involves an insane anylum with some very interesting treatment plans. Another involves a ‘death club’. The final story shows us the adventures of a server of Satan.
