One site is working to uncover this ‘eminent zombie apocalypse’ and that site is, Lost Zombies.
The goal of Lost Zombies “is to gather definitive proof that zombies are real and to compile that proof into a feature length documentary film. We are asking the general public to assist us by submitting any proof of zombies they may have. We believe as a community we can educate the world’s population of the reality of zombies and the potential, if not, eminent zombie apocalypse.”
Now at first, I thought this was a joke, don’t get me wrong, I love zombies, but zombie films (3D preferred) not real life walking dead. It seems that the folks over at Lost Zombies have really found out that an outbreak has happened and they have videos and photos that have been submitted by people from all over the world to prove it!
They even have images “that were pulled from a hard drive sent to Lost Zombies by an anonymous contact who goes by J. We believe J was a tester at the pharmaceutical company where the Zombie outbreak originated.” – According to the Lost Zombie website.
This is unreal, so for the safety of the human race, please if you have any photos, videos, documents that help uncover this zombie outbreak – send them to Lost Zombies, ASAP! (and have your footage in the first ever community driven zombie documentary.)
I know I always have my video camera with me and if I see anything, I will let Lost Zombies know.

Think of it like this, I personally do believe there is some sort of re-animation but if there was an apocalips we’d all die because area 51 won’t even let us near the base, in a free country I think we have a right to know what is going on down there. There is a lot of evidence to support zombies, there’s only a bible to support the existence of God and everyone believes a book but not actual evidence? WOW….. All I have to say is OPEN your eyes people…. And there was a comment about it being impossible for a virus to spread rapidly or even replicate inside the body rapidly but that isn’t true at all! Bacteria is rapid in your blood stream and it replicates rapidly in your body… Anything viral is also rapid and replicates… So maybe instead of “thinking” you know you should research… And another thing most people think that the Florida man eating the face off of a man is because of drugs but why didn’t anyone try and pull the wounded man away? If you watch the footage of the news cast no one is near te shot dead guy or the wounded victim… Why? If its drugs then there shouldn’t be a reason to stay away from him right? I mean the guy was shot 6 times and dead… Interesting to think about. It wasn’t drugs. I watched a video on u tube that was top secret by the go government, he said they had to cover it up so people wouldn’t know about their experiment, that it got out of hand so they came up saying he was on bath salt and synthetic weed.
Look first off any movie that has been made is off something that has happened before,it is impossible to come up with a new creature or thing without it resembling something else that we have seen or known to exist..with that said then zombies have to exsist somewhere…The government does try to hide everything…Look at the whole alien ufo thing, and area 51…When it leaked out about our government what did they do? they tried to deny it all…However we all know it exsist because people who use to work there snuck videos and stuff with their phones and etc…so why couldn’t zombie type people exsist? The Zombie Apocolypse dates back to the revelations. It received it’s start when jesus proclaimed to John, that the dead will rise, and walk amongst the living. Many so called victional creatures and demons are derived from the bible. This bothers me, when someone who claims to be catholic or christian tries to convince kids that there is no such thing as dragons, dinosaurs, basilisks and what not, makes it hard to take religion seriously when the people who preach it claim something from it never existed.

if you take a look at the affects of many diseases, you could grow a disease that gives the infected the characteristics that you desire.
mixture such as:
Rabies: makes the infected crazy, and most victims have the need to be violent and bite other animals.
Dysarthria: causes the infected to loose their ability to communicate.
spongiform encephalopathy aka (mad cow): if you are infected, your brain will develop holes, as well as the spinal chord. you will loose most motor skills, and the brain damage would cause insanity.
Inhaled Anthrax: has an incubation period of 60 days. so you could be sick and spread it without knowing it. this would help give our zombies the numbers, so that when the outbreak happens they have mass numbers.
because mass numbers = mass casualties
Now, if we take all of these diseases and combine them with anthrax, or a anthrax like disease that would spread it extremely fast. We would have your hypothetical zombie. They will not be technically dead, but they will have all the characteristics of zombies. This plague would end all governments and it would be everyone for themselves.

ZOMBIES can never be real. However, a virus can be genetically engineered that will make a person ZOMBIE like. A virus like this has appeared numerous times in fiction(e.g. 28 days later(rage virus, resident evil(T-virus). However, the replication time of the virus in the movie 28 days later is utterly ridiculous. A virus can never replicate and affect a human that fast. But, a virus that can make a person filled with rage that it goes out of its mind and stats biting and killing other people, is indeed POSSIBLE. I mean, the government might be engineering one now!

I definitely think zombies can exist but I have a few problems about it. Solanum is a virus that kills the person before reanimation…. I don’t see how the zombie would have the coordination to stand back up after the person fell down dead. Solanum affects the brain directly and makes it completely independent and doesn’t need oxygen. I don’t see how shooting a solanum infected zombie in the head would kill it. It doesn’t seem that a bullet or blunt object making a small hole killing the zombie. I can understand how a head smash completely obliterating the brain would kill it.
I actually didn’t know solanum was real until recently. It was found in a body in a cave. There was blood an claw marks all over the cave and therre was a dead body laying there.

Although I would like to believe that it is possible for the brain and nervous system to allow continuing function of the human body, it is not possible. The brain and nervous system run off of energy and neurotransmitters that require continuing replenishment to sustain physical activity and coordination. One of the main factors being ATP ( adenosine triphosphate) which is the main source of energy in the human body and required for aerobic respiration and muscular activity. Yes, the muscles and brain could run off anerobic respiration for energy but only for a very short amount of time, im guessing minutes, maybe less! And without the heart and blood flow to provide tissue perfusion ATP and other vital chemicals would not be sustained. That is just the issue of energy. Then one would have to take into consideration electrolyte balance.
Now I DO believe it would be possible to have a type of zombie from the movie I AM LEGEND where the bodily functions remain but the brain and normal human behavior is altered from a type of virus. The government has laws against certain types of genetic research for these various reasons. But where there is a will there is a way and if someone stupid decides to play with the wrong stuff and creates a highly contagious strain of virus or prion it would be possible to turn humans into a very basic and agressive creature. I believe it is 100% possible which is why I have food backups, survival plans, a safe house and lots of guns

I am a zombie know it all and thats for sure. Now I believe that a person already dead and buried cannot contract the virus because the brain is already dead. Secondly I do believe that the government is covering something up at area 51, but that could be anything. Furthermore a virus could be a by product of a company, an alien virus, something radioactive, or could be religious or already inside of us. There has been a provine fungi in Africa that takes over the minds of small insects and animals and makes them do whatever it wants including spreading itself to other animals, look it up. And I also believe the if Zombies were to suddenly spring up that they could mutate ifthe virus or fungi mutate as well. But this could probably only happen if our government got a hold of it to use it against others which they probably already have then were all screwed over. Heheh….look. It doesn’t matter if there is a zombie apocalypse coming. There IS something big and nasty coming regardless. We all feel it or we wouldn’t have come here or bothered to make a comment. I’m not here to tell the zombie doubters that they’ll be okay or to tell the zombie apocalypse believers they are wrong. Let us stay on topic a bit hmm? The simple fact is that life as we know it could come to an end. Yes, it could. With all of the problems our world has with clean water, proper production of food, diseases of our own making, improper use of antibiotics, nuclear energy, solar flares, comets, asteroids or some asshat with his finger up his ass it isn’t even remotely implausible that a zombie apocalypse could happen. With that said, the same rules of survival can be used on the ZA as you use for any other disaster. These are things you should already know to do and should have done. Don’t say “You will go to…..” or “You will get……” or “You will find….” That’s all crap and wishfull thinking.
First you need to forget about going to a hospital, an army base, a school, a gun shop, a national guard armory, a police station, a prison or a grocery store such as Walmart or any other. Those will get you killed and won’t do you any good. Within the first few hours of an actual emergency the food stores will be sold out, the gas stations will be empty and the gun shops will be closed. This is fact. Look at how people act when they hear a winter storm is coming. They will act the same way. They will panic. It’s human nature in large groups.
Your best bet is to be prepared already. How do you do that? That’s easy…..stop going to the club and use your money for something like insurance. By old bulldozer batteries to power your house. Build solar panels and put them in the basement if needed. Build a cheap wind power generator or three to plug into your house. Build a voltage regulator and get the electronics you need for power to run your refrigerator and freezer and maybe some AC or heat. It’s not hard and the information is all available in step by step instructions on the net…while we still have it. Buy some books on farming and on botanical medicine. Stock up on vitamins, bleach, and dry goods such as rice, wheat, beans, and pasta. Have enough to last you from fall to the end of summer (as a worst case scenario) until the crop you yield from the packaged seeds you bought can come to fruition. BUY packaged FOOD seeds. Make sure you have plenty of garlic and honey as they are exceptional topical antibiotics. If you need other medicines, stock up on them. Buy 50 gallon water barrels made of plastic. If you pour a cap or two of bleach in them they will last 5 to 10 years with perfectly drinkable water. Buy a water filtration/purifier unit. Raise bunnies in your basement because they are both cuddly AND delicious. Buy a goat for milk and cheese because cows are too picky and eat too much. Have dogs or geese because both can be used as alarms or food. Make sure you have weapons for your defense such as guns, knives, tomahawks, baseball bats, etc… These are only to be used in emergencies.
Prepare your home. Buy ply wood or pressure treated marine wood in sizes to cover your windows so no light or sound get out. Build a brick wall around your property…you can do all of this yourself for little cost.
The point is that being prepared isn’t just a good thing for a ZA, mythical or not, but good for any crisis. Be prepared and think about being prepared. Don’t let life eat you but be the one that is mentioned in the history books because you knew what to do and did it beforehand.
Saying you will do ANYthing after an epidemic, or ZA, or disaster occurs is pointless and will ultimately be unsuccessful. The only way to survive is by thinking of survival before you have occasion to need it.

Throughout time people have spoken of the undead raising up with a taste for human flesh or the dead being reanimated with a intense rage to kill anything living in sight. Now today this all is a possibility with the people out trying to play God, a airborne case of Rabies could swipe the entire nation, and world causing it to become a Zombie Apocalypse. It would have to be mutated and enhanced which is also possible and could have been done, but the government keeps this secret. A nice mix of viruses could create the ultimate Zombie World as seen in the movies28 days later, and 28 days later. A mix of Rabies (which causes intense rage to the infected), then mixed with Smallpox to spread through the air and create even more zombie like symptoms, and then the encephalitis virus which would flame your brain with fever, thus creating even more rage added onto the rabies, next you add in the Ebola virus which causes the infected to bleed from their guts. This Rom guy basically just typed a passage from the Zombie Survival Guide. Changed up the words a bit, added a few things, but it’s pretty much the same thing. The WW2 video is fake FYI. First of all, the “Solanum” virus was made up. Just like the Zombie Survival Guide. All of that is made up for entertainment. Most people wouldn’t know that, so I’m not bashing anyone. So rather than write a long winded reply in the comments section, I thought i would do a short blog.
First of all I will say that zombies are 100% real. Im not going to say how I got the information that Im about to give and will not say where I am from nor will I give my real name.
During the war with Germany, an American platoon ran into a group of Germans marching in formation side by side without protection, weapons or gear of any kind. The third row back were Germans in full gear with weapons and protective garb. When the Americans fired apon the two rows of Germas in the front, they fell down and got back up and continued their march. They reported that the only way they could kill them was to shoot them in the heador blow them up with grenades.
At that same time, another platoon raided a German building where they found some scientist, dead German soldiers (moving and not moving)and some documents as well as a chemical that brought the dead back to life (at least in a little). The drawback was that the dead were non-thinking, they could only do as they were told. They did not try to eat humans.
Secondary Information : After the scientists, chemicals and documentation were brought to the US Governments attention, they (our government) tried to use the chemical with some slight alterations to it. The first trial failed, the experimentals went mad and would not follow orders, they killed anything in site, but still did not eat human flesh. The second test failed as well, it turned the experimentals into flesh eaters. But they srill would not follow orders and ate eachother. The third trial was still a failure, it turned the experimentals into full fledged zombies, they would not follow orders and attacked any living being they saw.
The newly created zombies were still kept for study as a possible use for war, however they were not used in any of the wars we have had since then due to the fact that the chemical in the bodies could be transfered through the saliva (meaning a bite). The chemical can kill a living person and bring them back as a zombie, but it takes several hours to kill and reanimate the brain. Thus was the fear of a real life zombie outbreak. The life of a zombie is about 7 to 9 years, depending on the rate of decay. This is the reason they have not been used in any of the wars we have had over the last 60 + years.
Today, zombies are still being created and studied for possible use in war and the chemical (virus) is being held in several labs and disease control labs throughout the US. And to answer a question, the so called virus known as Solenum does not exist. It was a falsified documentation and was sent ot as a joke and many people beleived it, so they kept it going.
Now some of you may be asking “Well how do we know you arent joking?” All I can say is that if you do some hard reasearch of your own, you will find that what I have said to be true. As to whether you believe me or not, that is your right. Im not here to give false information for my own amusement, Im just passing on what I know to be the truth.
A zombie outbreak is more than possible and can happen at anytime if the chemical ends up in the wrong hands. So my advice to everyone is this : Pay close attention to sudden outbreaks of a flue-like virus that kills people and may not be reported that it is reanimating them at first. Pay attention to how many people may be dying from a new virus in your area. Know your weapons and know good shelters that have plenty of food, water and barriers. And most important, the zombies are attracted to lights and loud sounds. Block all windows from letting any light shine to the outside. Keep fom making loud sounds if you know zombies aer close-by. This information is for just in case purposes and should be taken seriously. But do with it as you will, shrug it off and laugh or question it. Do your own reasearch…… find the truth. An outbreak is very possible. Should it happen, I would like to wish those who listen to me, good luck, be safe and be very careful.

I really have done alot of research. Alot of its most likely fake but I think there is real disease that can mutate into something similar to the Solanum Virus. Alot of this zombie reality crap could possibly be from how the only zombie movies that are truly scary are realistic and similar to documentaries. Max Brooks really capitalized on the fact that the more people make something real, the scarier it is. I love Max Brooks. I met him once in chicago, he is actually really cool. What I’m saying is, before the George A. Romero movie, Night of the Living Dead, the only zombies that existed were the Haitian Voodoo zombies. Either this disease has come back from ancient egypt and its real or its just alot fun. No matter what, I am buying a couple pistols, a shotgun, canned goods, a shit load of ammo. Point 1. Nobody ever said that zombies have no mind…The Solanum Virus infects the frontal lobe of the brain and controls the body. It has one primary function: kill and eat. Lab results have shown that zombies fail tests set on rodent levels, which means all bodily functions of normal humans have shut down although the senses are the same, maybe heightened a little bit and are all equally used.
Point 2. They may put me in an insane assylum, but the day that zombies aren’t being covered up by the government, they’ll be in there asking for my help.
Point 3. Most outbreaks start in hospitals. People come in reporting of a strong illness and being attacked by someone. They get put in a hospital room. A nurse comes in to check on the patient and BAM! she’s infected too…she might call for help to sedate the patient and the zombie infects the entire room resulting in the doctors get the night off, infect their families in the middle of the night, and so on and so forth.
Lostzombies.com is really dumb, none of the people on there even have the slightest clue on what causes zombies to reanimate or how to fight, run, and be strategic in defeating them. Zombies are caused by the “solanum” virus. It is not airborne nor waterborne, the only way to get the virus is by direct contact of bodily fluids ex. blood or saliva. Anyone who thinks that zombies cannot be real is really really dumb. I’ve seen them first hand and dealt with them. Solanum works by attacking the brain from the inital point of infection (a bite or a scratch normally but it can also be transfered by blood splatter on an open wound, eyes, or if you get their skin or blood under your fingernails). It begins as feeling sick, then there’s high fever, partial paralzyation, coma, death, and finally…reanimation. They can only be killed by a skull crushing blow (or a simple bullet to the head (which will attract more of them to your location)). After dispatching your undead attacker, you have to burn the body or get far away from it for 48 hours (until all traces of solanum are gone from the body).
I know that zombies cant be proved real or fake by this comment, but a lot of people say the zombies cant be revived and still function. I just wanted to make a few comments on things I was reading down through.
Firstly I do believe that a virus could exist. Think of it like this, how many versions of the flu are there? How often does that particular virus continue to mutate? Then you think of a spectrum, you have 33, 45, 67, 31, 87, and 3. Which number doesn’t fit? 3.. then you think of that spectrum as being different strains of the same virus where 31 would be an ichy sore throat and other such things. Now think of the average of that spectrum. Which do you think would be the most rare and possibly unencountered strain? Take away all the hollywood dramatization and it is very believeable and could have happened. Now I don’t believe that they literally die and reanimate, unless of course you provide the entire body with a sudden jolt of electricity which can be provided by mitochodria (sorry if that’s spelled wrong). “Spontanious human combustion” is a proven phenomina and is caused by that very same bacteria. Also it is proven that it also is capable of producing a massive amount of electricity. However that amount of electricity would heavily damage the brain and much of the nervous system.. think of someone that suffered a lightning strike. Which would explain a “zombie” like behavoral pattern… however unless it were a virus that cause that mitochondria to produce that possible jolt of electricity, it would not spread. It is more believeable that a virus would send the body into a temporary state of shock or simply go dormant and appear to be dead. It is proven that monks can slow down their heart so much to the point where it is undetectable by the traditional method a feeling for a pulse and certain poisons can have the same effect. Also there are a few very rare deseases that put someone into a coma ie a deathlike state. In the olden days those diseases cause a few to be burried alive. In short, it is possible… just not uber probable..
And in reply to one thing I read.. if you blow up an asteroid heading to earth with a nuke, you would not “save earth” you would have a buncha different sized peices of the same rock raining down on us.. not to mention the possible radiation. And a buncha peices raining down would ultimately have a very catastrophic result too. Think winter for a loong loong time.. which would kill crops and animals thus leading ultimately to starvation not to mention freezing to death and all the other countless possibilities….. dumbass.

Zombies like you see in older movies, that dig themselves out of the six foot grave and start feasting on brains is completely absurd. The idea that you have to destroy the brain is also unrealistic. Do yourselves a favor and look up the effects of rabies in humans. (Especially on the CDC’s web site [where the information published is 90% accurate]). If the rabies virus (which is incurable once the onset of symptoms has begun) managed to mutate (through nature or because of man) to the point where the onset of symptoms occurred within minutes or hours instead of days, weeks or possibly months there would be a very big “Zombie- like” problem. Symptoms of rabies in humans include: irritability, headache, pain, itching or a twitching at the infection site, and fever, muscle spasms in the throat and respiratory tract that affect breathing and difficulty swallowing the combination of which can cause foaming at the mouth, hallucinations, convulsions, seizures, paralysis, and eventually death. Rabies is easily spread by infected saliva entering an uninfected person through a bite. So hypothetically, If the rabies virus mutated and was able to cause the advanced stages of rabies in a short period of time, and that mutated virus was introduced into a human host, and that infected person began to infect other people that he/she came into contact with we would have a seriously deadly situation that the CDC and WHO would not be ready for. And speaking from experience as a former Army Medic, Firefighter, EMT-B , and Deputy Sheriff first responders are not trained to deal with a situation of that nature. Take precautions, be observant, and in the event of a “Zombie” out break never go to a government selected “Safe Zone” unless you have no other options.

I dont believe in the movie zombies but i do believe that it is possible for a virus to make a zombie like creature. I dont think that a “zombie” is nessecary dead. I think that the virus destroys part of the brain, you do not regain or repair cells, you have no memories, it just leaves your basic instincts to feed. So a “zombie” is not dead but a slow moving brain damaged predator. You dont have to shoot them in the head but it is the best way. They do not feel pain so they wont slow down, you would have to do a fatal shot maybe several times.

Wow you guys make me laugh. Science has proved that reviving the dead may be possible, but reviving the brain to where it can only beg for food is absolutely upsurd! Many parts of the brain and spinal column would need to be revived to allow the people to walk, lift their arms, and have any energy what so ever, not just the “most basic need” as stated in resident evil. And if zombies are so dumb, then why would they know that another zombie is one of their own? Why wouldn’t they just eat themselves to extinction? A guy responded to me and said “because the living have fresh meat”………..Hello! If zombies are driven off of the most basic need, then they would eat brick walls for crying out loud! they wouldn’t know what is fresh and what isn’t!
