Collecting Body Parts

You may have noticed the Ads that are on the right hand side of the Zombie Popcorn pages and posts.  They are ads for SideShow Collectibles. Inc.   I am a HUGE fan of the work that SideShow puts out and that is why I have the ads on this site.  I will only put things on the site that I have interests in and by far SideShow Collectibles fits my interests.

They produce some of the best horror and film collectible figures and props I have ever seen.   I have several SideShow figures in my collection – maybe I will show them off in the 3D broadcast of Zombie Popcorn Radio one Saturday.   Anyway,  the craftsmanship of the items I own are perfect and I love how they don’t just make a figure they put a story behind each piece of work they do.  I can’t tell if I am obsessed with their products because they are so nicely done or if it is because they perfectly capture moments from the films I love.

Look at their collection of Universal Monsters figures.  These two are by far my favorite.

So take a moment and check out this video on the new Friday the 13th figure SideShow Collectibles are working on and don’t forget to pre-order one for me.

G.I. Joe Theme song

Hitting the screen on August 7, 2009 is the G.I. Joe movie. It is said to be action packed, we will just have to wait and see. :)

I never was into the G.I. Joe action toys or cartoons when I was a child.  But, I did like the way the Cobra figures looked and I think I had a couple. I don’t even remember playing with them, but for some odd reason, I was happy to see that Sideshow Collectibles created some limited edition figures. (Trailer below)

If you are not into collection figures here are two trailers for the film. Let me know what you think.

The Dead Have Arrived!

Posted on 22 June 2009 by Jason Bayless

I heard a knock at my door so I rushed to it and I peeped through the look out hole to see who was knocking, I saw no one. So, I opened the door with caution. Slowly, I pulled the door open, while leaning to look out the crack between the door and the frame.  The hallway remained empty and I had no idea who knocked on my door.  I nervously announced, “Hello?” There was no answer.

I began to close the door when I noticed on the ground laid a priest covered in blood. I bent down to pick him up and that is when I realized he was a zombie!

I was so excited, because my zombie had arrived.

The Jedi Order

Posted on 12 June 2009 by Jason Bayless

Councilor (or Council Member) – Very few Jedi were invited to serve on the Jedi Council, the governing body of the Order. The Council was made up almost exclusively of wise, experienced Masters. However, in the waning days of the Order, one Knight, Ki-Adi-Mundi, served as a Councilor, but was undergoing the process of becoming a Master at the time of his invitation).

I was extremely happy when I came home yesterday and found Ki-Adi-Mundi sitting at my door step.   I mean, who wouldn’t be surprised?  Ki-Adi-Mundi was trained as a Jedi Guardian, leading him to focus more on the physical aspects of the Force. He became noted among the Jedi Masters for his exceptional bravery and was considered one of the top ten swordsmen of his time, rivaling fellow Council member Kit Fisto.

Ok, I really wasn’t surprised because I knew he was going to be there because, if you read, ‘The Force is Strong with this One‘ you would also have known I won the Ki Adi Mundi 12-inch Figure from Sideshow Collectibles.

Here are a couple of photos I took of Ki-Adi-Mundi, I am really impressed witht the amount of detail Sideshow Collectibles put into this figure.

Blood Stained T-Shirts

Posted on 03 June 2009 by Jason Bayless

I mentioned a while back that I won a Star Wars collectible – a Ki Adi Mundi 12-inch Figure, to be exact from Sideshow Collectibles. A week later they were giving away a ‘The Dead’ t-shirt. No, I don’t mean the Grateful Dead – I am talking about Sideshow Collectibles Original line called, “The Dead’

They are amazingly detail figures of zombies and I am obsessed with them. (see banners below).

Anyway, the purpose of mentioning it is because I got my ‘The Dead’ t-shirt today in the mail- woo-hoo! – It is awesome and yes I am going to wear it tomorrow. So, if you see me, you will see an awesome Zombie t-shirt. :)

If you are not excited about my new shirt, but you really should be, check out The Dead collection and have something real to be excited about…
