Friday the 13 part 2 – 3D?

Posted on 04 October 2009 by Jason Bayless

f3d2  If you listened to Zombie Popcorn Radio last night you would have learned about the upcoming reboot film, Friday the 13th part 2.  The release date has been set for Aug. 13 2010.  You would have also heard me asking  the 3D Gods to make the 13th installment of the franchise in 3D.

I think the 3D Gods listen to Zombie Popcorn Radio because it was just announced that Friday the 13th part 2 will be in 3D.   I am still looking into this to get confirmation but at this very moment I am super excited!

I loved the Friday the 13 part 3 in 3D.  I remember seeing it for the first time and was blown away with the awesome-ness and cheese.  My fav. part was the spear gun – right in the eye!  I also loved the remake so put these two together and I am sure it will be amazing!!

friday

TR2N-3D

Posted on 01 April 2009 by Jason Bayless

I can’t help but be excited! – All the 3D movies that are coming out – I am just jumping up and down with joy!   All my favorite movies when I was a child are now coming out in 3D.  My Bloody Valentine was re-made in 3D, Dawn of the Dead is going to be re-released in 3D,  and so many more.

There is one movie that I loved to watch that wasn’t a horror movie,  I still watch it about twice a year – that movie is TRON.

Coming in 2010, TRON 2 or TR2N will be released and it will be in 3D.   There is a ‘bootleg’ trailer floating around youtube and the net -but the quality is not that good so I will wait for a better trailer before I post one to this site.  I can say that TR2N looks awesome!

There is not much out about the film yet, but what we do know is that Daft Punk is going to write the soundtrack and Bruce Boxleitner along with Jeff Bridges are returning to TRON.  Bridges will be playing the role of Kevin Flynn.

Ok, so I lied – here is the bootleg teaser for TR2N

Oh, The Horror!

Posted on 10 November 2008 by Jason Bayless

I have some great news for horror movie fans.

You may have already seen that Brian Yuzna, producer of Re-Animator and writer of Silent Night, Deadly Night 4 and 5, will produce through Komodo Film, which he co-owns, three films that will take advantage of the latest in 3-D technology.

So keep your eyes open for AMPHIBIOUS -a film about a giant sea scorpion”;

NECRONAUTS, “a film about a journey into the realm of death”;

and COLD BLOODED, a survival tale pitting stranded American tourists against an island of man-eating Komodo Dragons – all in 3D!

It also looks like he is going to be the producer of ‘House of Re-Animator’ to be released in 2010 – I wonder if that will be in 3D. – I hope so and I will keep you posted.

Speaking of Silent Night, Deadly night there is a box set of x-mas horror films coming out on Dec. 16th.  The set is called, ‘SILENT NIGHT, GORY NIGHT’ and will included classic films like, ‘CHRISTMAS SEASON MASSACRE, SATAN CLAUS, and PSYCHO SANTA.’

You can pre-order it here, just in time for x-mas movie night with the family.

There is one more film that is coming out that looks really good, I wont bore you with the details of this upcoming film, so I will let the trailers show you all the things this film has to offer.

The film is called, ‘Laid to Rest’ — enjoy!
