‘Necromentia’ is a film by director Pearry Reginald Teo that I heard about about a year ago. I was, and still am, eager to see this movie. It has made its run throught the film festival circuit and got a 2009 DVD release in the UK. It doesn’t seem like it is getting a US release until 2010, but if you get a chance to see this film – go check it out and let me know what you think.
Here is the trailer…
Inspired by the works of Clive Barker and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, “Necromentia” is a twisted look at three seemingly unrelated men brought together by their connection to portal to the other side. Hagen has a dead lover believes that he can revive her from the dead. Travis lost his family and wants to join them in the after life. Morbius, a bartender who is betrayed by those he loves, comes back from the dead to take revenge. And a strange man only known as Mr. Skinny protects the secrets of the world and how the stories weave together and affect each other with eternal consequences.
