Watching the Blood Drip onto the Snow

yellowstonebison   Tomorrow (Friday) I leave to spend Halloween weekend in Yellowstone National Park.

This is the last weekend before they close the park for the season. I am really looking forward to spending time out in the middle of nowhere with all the snow, the animals and of course, Mylie T.

Weather reports say it will be snowing all weekend so maybe we will get snowed in and end up like good ol’ Jack from the Shining.

Thinking of all the snow reminds me of the new Norwegian zombie film, Dead Snow.  If you don’t know about it here is the plot:

A ski vacation turns horrific for a group of medical students, as they find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies.

and the trailer

Speaking of medical students and zombies – have you seen the video from the 1940′s called, ‘ Experiments in the Revival of Organisms’.  If you haven’t here is the run down – and yes, the video.

It was the first public U.S. showing of a film picturing an experiment by Soviet biologists. They drained the blood from a dog. Fifteen minutes after its heart had stopped beating, they pumped the blood back into its lifeless body with a machine called an autojector, serving as artificial heart and lungs. Soon the dog stirred, began to breathe; its heart began to beat. In twelve hours it was on its feet, wagging its tail, barking, fully recovered.
