A new Front Line Assembly Album is nearing its release date – June 22, 2010 entitled, ‘Improvised. Electronic. Device’

According to Metropolis Records,

Over the past 24 years, Front Line Assembly has become heralded as one of the godfathers of industrial music. Their 1992 album, Tactical Neural Implant is still considered the best of the best in the genre. Throughout the years, the band has seen many line-up changes, but Bill Leeb remains the constant behind the band. Four years ago, FLA released Artificial Soldier which many fans engaged as one of the band’s top five albums. For 2010, they have returned with the brand new album Improvised. Electronic. Device. The new songs demonstrate that FLA has not lost its edge over the past almost two and a half decades. And as if Front Line Assembly’s legacy and namesake alone weren’t enough for the album, Al Jougensen from Ministry contributes his vocals to “Stupidity.”

Former NFL star Fred Williamson, who’s totally sweet archery skills are second only to his arsenal of exploding arrowheads!!! Add to all of this a hot and vulnerable female lead, a cheesy electronic score, and a bunch of awesome monologues by the leader of the bad guys (“There is only one faith! One ecstasy! DEATH!!!”), and you got one hell of a good time! Take it from a true connoisseur of crap: this movie is worth the low price. Best enjoyed with a few beers and a sense of humor.

John Zaffis has over thirty years of experience studying and investigating the paranormal. He has had the opportunity to work for and with his aunt and uncle, Ed and Lorraine Warren. He has also worked extensively with both spiritualists and psychics concerning how their knowledge is used for channeling, reincarnation (past-life regression), or the calling of the spirits for information, and how they use meditation to acquire the information which they are seeking. Because of his personal experiences with hauntings, ESP, near death experiences and other paranormal activities, he is firm in his conviction that such phenomena exist.

John has been featured in the Discovery Channel’s documentaries A Haunting in Connecticut and Little Lost Souls. John has also appeared on Unsolved Mysteries, Fox News Live, and many other print and news media events. John is also in the books of Ed and Lorraine Warren GRAVEYARDS and IN A DARK PLACE.

John’s first book, Shadows of the Dark, co-written with Brian McIntyre, was released in September, 2004. John is working on multiple follow-up books currently, and is lecturing all over the United States at colleges and universities.

The moment you have all been waiting for – the re-broadcast of Zombie Popcorn’s interview with Tony Anthony.

Tony Anthony is a former film actor, producer, director, and screenwriter, best known for his starring roles in spaghetti westerns and his 1981 3D movie,  Comin’ At Ya!

This is a very rare opportunity to interview Tony Anthony because he did not talk to the press much at all during his career.  So we are forever grateful that he came on Zombie Popcorn Radio.

We  talked about his career in the film industry  from his start all the way up to the current  date and the re-release of the  film that kicked off the 3D revolution in the 1980’s – Comin’ At Ya!

Tony Anthony is largely credited with the revival of the 3-D concept in the early 1980s. Anthony did, however work for many years on Spaghetti Westerns (some with co-production company Lupo-Anthony-Quintano Productions). He produced and starred in two 3-Dimensional movies, both of which enjoyed a modest theatrical release. After making these two films, Anthony effectively retired from the movie industries (except for the occasional production work with friend Gene Quintano or Mark Damon).

Matthew plays live music for us and we learn more about his history in music.

Born and raised in rural Texas, matthew spent 10 years navigating the murky waters of the North Texas music scene in a variety of rock bands. He moved to New York in 2002 to begin a solo career as the matthew show, eventually moving operations back to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2006 due to hipster fatigue.

In 2003 his debut solo album, texas, was released to wide critical acclaim. His songs have been featured on two seasons of the PBS series Roadtrip Nation, and on National Public Radio’s All Songs Considered.

In 2005, his cover of Warren Zevon’s Mohammed’s Radio was included on the bestselling tribute album Hurry Home Early, and his song Bring Me Safely Down won second place in American Songwriter magazine’s Lyric Competition.

In 2006, his song Office Suite, Part I was used as the soundtrack to lonelygirl15′s YouTube video The Tolstoy Principle, which has since gained nearly half a million views due to coverage in Wired and the New York Times.

He has performed live with acts as diverse as Hamell On Trial and Goodwin, and headlined 2004′s JournalCon in Washington DC. He has worked with artists such as Cubano-classical favorites Las Rubias del Norte, NYC celebrity street musician Dorian Spencer, renowned violinist Reggie Rueffer, and avant-garde composer Little Jack Melody.

matthew performs regularly as Matthew Perreault in the virtual world Second Life, where his live concerts draw fans from around the real world and throughout the metaverse.

matthew’s non-musical activities have included writing and editing children’s nonfiction books, being one of Fandango.com’s first movie reviewers, providing commentaries on Dallas’ KERA FM, and performing as an extra on the late, lamented Walker, Texas Ranger.

Frore is Paul Casper, a self taught electronic “musician” from Virginia Beach VA. His love of electronic sounds began with a school trip to the planetarium and when his older sister told him about a radio show called “Hearts of Space”. . . . combined with a interest in other cultures, different forms of musical expression and a youth spent, watching way too much Archeology and Nature shows, listening to too much industrial music and being generally, slightly gloomy, all of these things started to brew and simmer inside Paul over the years until in December of 2007 He decided to take a pause from writing EBM and Industrial music to focus on Ambient. . . . Almost everything on Earth’s surface has been explored . . . science has given us many answers for why things are the way they are. . . . what’s left? Frore is music that evokes a dark thoughtful, primitive, atmosphere for reflection and/or dreaming. Paul thinks it’s music that connects with “something”, but he has yet to figure out what that is. . . . Oh well, one more mystery is always welcome. Is it music for the world before us, or for the tribes of tomorrow?
